A Tribute to Emily

Seldom are parents faced with the daunting prospect of creating a legacy to their young child. Thank goodness for that. But, in the shadow of Emily Morgan’s battle with Cystic Fibrosis, we knew we must find an important way to champion the memory of Emily’s amazing stay on this earth. This is how The Emily Morgan Foundation came to be.

We invite you to wander through the pages to follow, and learn more about Emily. She will inspire you and she will warm your heart, whether you had the privilege of personally knowing this wonderful girl or not. We extend our arms in an embrace of love and unending appreciation to our friends and family, and to an amazing community of generous contributors for allowing us to honour Emily’s life in this special way.

Golf Tournament

Together, we embark upon this nature-filled opportunity to  celebrate the life, spirit, and memory of our spunky and brave Emily with a beautiful day of golf, laughter, and fellowship.

Last year, our event at the Kettle Creek Golf and Country Club was a resounding success once again, raising over $9,000 for the foundation we created in Emily’s honour. With 105 eager players, our day was blessed with sunshine (thank you Emily) and heartwarming memories (thank you everyone), as it always is.  We cannot thank you enough for your support and love.

The 18th Annual Emily Morgan Celebration Golf Tournament will take place September 14, 2024.  We look forward to welcoming you with big smiles and even bigger hugs. If you have played before, you know how special this day is. If you are joining us for the first time, you will feel instantly like you are one of the clan and will understand why this event is so meaningful.

The Foundation

With touchingly generous contributions from our friends, our family, and our wonderful community, the Emily Morgan Foundation was established in 2006.

This Foundation was created in celebration of Emily — to keep alive in the community Emily’s incredible and indomitable spirit. Emily’s approach to living, despite the numerous challenges she faced throughout her all-too-short life, was nothing short of inspirational. Emily was a precious daughter and sister, and she was also our hero.

The Foundation honours the life of Emily Morgan and symbolizes the strength and bravery of this incredible girl, while lending a hand of assistance to those who need it. We hope Emily’s extraordinary spirit may inspire families who are struggling, as we reach out with financial help to minimize the stresses that are often inevitable.
